A. GENERAL

Advanced strong non-restrained pipe and joint area Glass Reinforced Plastic flexible corrosion resistant pipe system intended mainly for underground use. It consists of thermosetting chemical resistant poly-ester resin, Fiberglass Reinforcements and fine Silica and aggregates to BS 5480 / AWWA C-950.

Large diameter pipes are available in nominal diameters ranging from 300 to 2600 mm.

Available standard pressure classes are PN1, 3, 6, 10, 12 and 16 and stiffness class of 2500, 5000 and 10000 N/m2.

B. CONSTRUCTION

The pipe consists of a resin-rich reinforced liner, structural wall and a resin-rich exterior layer. <<C>> glass is used at the internal and external pipe surfaces.

C. APPLICABLE CODES/STANDARDS

Standards Main Applications
ASTM D-3262 (Fiberglass) Standard Specification for (Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Resin) Sewer Pipe
Thermosetting - ASTM D-3517 (Fiberglass) Standard Specification for (Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Thermosetting-Resin) Pressure Pipe
ASTM D 3754 Standard Specification for Fiberglass (Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Thermosetting Resin) Sewer & Industrial Pressure Pipe
AWWA C-950 Fiberglass Pressure Pipe
AWWA M-45 Fiberglass Pipe Design Manual
BS 5480 British Standard Specification for Glass Reinforced Plastics G I Pipes, joints and Fittings for use for water supply or Sewerage.

Advanced Pipes & Cast Co. W.L.L (APACC) has got the Kite Mark Certification from M/s. BSI, where the above standard has been qualified in the presence of the BSI personnel.
